Quest for potential is an overarching and inviolate holy cosmic dynamic. A violation of quest for potential would be a violation of a core Divine dynamic-which was integral to creation itself, integral to the Divine essence, and integral to the potential of the cosmic order. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Holy Divine potential flows from the epicenter of the Divine through all life.575<\/sup> Therefore, it is not in the cosmic interest to limit potential. This inviolate core dynamic is reflected in man, God, and the universe at large.<\/p>\n

Indeed, Divine contraction to foster man’s growth and freedom is not only for the sake of man, but also for the sake of the Divine and the cosmic order. For the Divine is averse, as well, to a confrontation between the Mercy Face of God and the “Potential” core of the Divine. As man ascends the ladder of knowledge, implicitly demanding more freedom en route to greater potentiality, the Divine core of Potential preempts the<\/p>\n

All-Mercy Face of the Divine, effecting a greater contraction of here-and-now Divine consciousness. For the inviolability and integrity of the holy core dynamic-“quest for potential\u00e2\u20ac\u009d-must be vigilantly protected.<\/p>\n

To undermine “quest for potential” would undermine the very core of the Divine and of Divine Creation. This is the true underlying message of the Jobian finale. Job’s protestations of gratuitous suffering bring forth the Divine response in two complete chapters devoted to the Divine as the source of the wonder of creation. At the crux of Divine Creation-quest for potentiality-lies the elusive solution to the problem of theodicy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Divine “response” to Job begins as follows:<\/p>\n

Where wast thou
\nwhen I laid the foundations of the earth?
\nDeclare if thou hast the understanding! …
\nWhereupon were the foundations thereof fastened? …
\nWhen the morning stars sang together,
\nAnd all the creations of God shouted for joy …
\nCanst thou bind the chains of the Pleiades,
\nOr loose the bands of Orion?
\n-Job 38:4-13<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Upon closer observation and interpretation in light of our formulation, the dazzling Divine response is seen as one not of ultimate unfathomability, but rather as one of cloaked fathomability, concealed in the majestic spendor of Divine poetry. It is this same inviolate core dynamic, which was central to the Divine creation of the foundations of the earth and of the multiplicity of wondrous Divine creations, which ultimately allows gratuitous evil to go unchallenged in the millennia to come later.<\/p>\n

The dynamic of “quest for potential” is crucial to the Divine. crucial to creation, and crucial to theodicy. This is implicit in the message of the Jobian finale. In retrospect, the solution to theodicy required the discernment of a dynamic of such alltranscending power; else the all-merciful, all-powerful Divine<\/p><\/div>\n

would have certainly found a way to counter gross evil. Only a dynamic of the overarching power and inviolability of “quest for potential” could initiate a contraction of Divine here-and-now consciousness, which in spite of the glorious potentialities flowing therefrom, would in turn also allow evil such widespread dominion.<\/p>\n
