\nAccording to my reading of natural evolution, random genetic mutations <\/em>provide a \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcmenu\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 for Quest-for-Potential\u00e2\u02c6\u017e<\/sup> to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153review\u00e2\u20ac\u009d – and then select from – or \u00e2\u20ac\u0153lock-in on\u00e2\u20ac\u009d – a new \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcgenetic line\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 most likely to achieve optimal potential (which includes survival)…and then transpose the genetic change across the entire species, and possibly beyond that.<\/p>\n

This \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcreading of the data\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 would harmonize \u00e2\u20ac\u0153punctuated equilibrium\u00e2\u20ac\u009d nicely into an integrated theory.<\/p>\n

This \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcreading of the data\u00e2\u20ac\u009d through my lens of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Quest for Potential \/ Extraordinariation\u00e2\u20ac\u009d would explain why we end up with thousands of species of (dainty and beautiful) butterflies – and not billions of species of (ultimate survivor) slugs.<\/p>\n
