David Birnbaum’s God and Evil (Summa Metaphysica I) describes an important philosophical study that methodically challenges the philosophical issues of evil, and the Holocaust in particular. The book indicates an original paradigm, including metaphysics. The foundation of the work is Birnbaum’s  original-paradigm concepts of Quest for Potential∞. Book I, God and Evil, stresses mainly on the well-established philosophical conundrum: If there is a God who is powerful, merciful and knowing, why does gross evil befall the innocent?
