Preface (p.xix)
hard cover page xix
This work is divided into three parts.
Part I has two major components. The first is a review and treatment of the subject of theodicy. The second portion reviews some major philosophical underpinnings of Judaism related to intellectuality, which have a direct bearing on our study.
Part II presents the major contribution of this work, my “Quest for Potential” formulation, a solution of the age-old problem of theodicy. Its nine points are numbered 100 through 900 for easy citation and reference. Though based on Jewish sources, its orientation is universalistic, and it presents a cohesive alternative to several classic philosophical formulations.
Part III contains a summary, and addresses the applicability of this study on a persona1 level.
